Course Description:
In band, students will learn how to perform on their instrument individually and in a group setting depending on their instrument and ability.
Textbook:
Ed Sueta Premier Performance: Book 1
Supplies:
Binder (1” or 1.5”)

Grades:
Grades will be given at the end of the six weeks according to school policy. Progress reports will be issued during the third week of the six weeks. Students will be graded in different ways: daily grades, weekly grades, and tests.
Class Assignments/Homework:
It is the student’s responsibility to ask for, to complete and to turn in work for excused absences. All students are required to participate in any performances, competitions, and after school rehearsals.
Classroom Expectations:
DO NOT handle an instrument that is not yours
Do Not handle things that do not belong to you, like someone else’s items (ex. Backpacks, phones, chromebooks, etc)
Be Respectful: Use appropriate language. Be respectful and wait for your turn.
Be Orderly: Follow directions. Keep hands, feet and objects to yourself.
Be Accountable: Be ready to learn. Always have required materials.
Be Responsible: Be on time. Complete all assignments.
