Course Description:

In this course, students will be encouraged to enhance their reading, writing, speaking, and reasoning skills and apply them to their local and state exams. 

Supplies: 

Composition Book (100 Sheets)

Pocket Folder (provided in class)

Pencil or Pen 

Grades:

Grades will be given at the end of the six weeks according to school policy.  Progress reports will be issued during the third week of the six weeks.  Students will be graded in different ways:  daily grades and tests.  Percentages are as follow:

Daily Grades (Class work): 50%

Tests: 50%

Class Assignments/Homework:

It is the student’s responsibility to ask for, to complete and to turn in work for excused absences. All students are required to participate with choral reading, writing assignments, reading assignments, and group projects. A 30 minutes mandatory practice every Monday and Wednesday is necessary.  Visit our United South Middle School web page: usms.uisd.net, look for my name under “teachers'' and click on “Data Entry” class.  To do the homework practice, find the link to the website www.freetypinggame.net and/or edutyping.com. Make sure to practice on the lessons that we have covered in class during that particular week.

Be Responsible: Be on time. Complete all assignments.
