Course Description:
In the Data Entry course students apply technical skills to address business applications of emerging technologies. Students enhance reading, writing, computing, communication, and reasoning skills and apply them to the business environment. Students will need to apply touch system data entry for production of business documents.
Supplies: Pencil or Pen
Grades:
Grades will be given at the end of the six weeks according to school policy. Progress reports will be issued during the third week of the six weeks. Students will be graded in two different ways: daily grades and tests. Percentages are as follow:
Daily Grades (Class Work): 50%
Tests: 50%
It is the student’s responsibility to ask for, complete and turn in work for excused and/or unexcused absences.
At Home Practice:
A 20 minute keyboarding practice at home every Monday, Wednesday and Thursday is recommended. Visit the website https://www.edutyping.com/, click on the “games” tab, and make sure to select your practice to include only the keys that we have covered in class so far. Also, keep in mind not to look at the keyboard while doing your practice.
